Chapter 7 - Sister-In-Law Heather Tries To Defend The Family Honor

Heather stepped between her mother and Brandon, tossing her blonde hair over her shoulder with an air of arrogant denial.
“This is all a calculated setup by a bitter woman who was never good enough for our family anyway!” Heather shouted defensively.
“If Gwen wanted a luxury party, she should have paid for it herself instead of throwing a childish tantrum,” Heather sneered.
Gwen turned her gaze toward her sister-in-law, a calm, chilling smile touching the corners of her lips.
“I paid for your daughter’s private school tuition last semester, Heather; would you like me to show the bank transfer for that too?” Gwen asked.
Heather instantly went pale, stepping back as if she had been physically struck by lightning.
“You... you had no right going through our financial arrangements!” Heather stammered, losing her fierce composure.
“I didn't go through anything; you begged me on your knees when your credit cards were declined at the boutique,” Gwen reminded her.
