Chapter 11 - Confronting The Wife About The Hidden Medical Records

Back in the study, Eleanor managed to wriggle her fingers free from the heavy zip-tie restraints using a sharp letter opener.
She picked up her encrypted satellite phone from the floor, dialing the direct extension of Pine Ridge Sanatorium’s director.
“Director Vance, the cover is blown; Thomas is heading toward your facility right now with the maid,” Eleanor hissed into the receiver.
“Understood, Mrs. Thomas; we’ll transfer the patient to the subterranean isolation ward before they cross the county line,” Vance replied coldly.
Eleanor smiled bitterly, hanging up the phone as she unlocked the study doors and prepared for her own emergency extraction.
She knew her husband would never find their daughter if the medical director executed the permanent deletion protocol.
Meanwhile, miles away on the interstate highway, Thomas’s SUV cut through the blinding sheets of rain at terrifying speed.
Clara monitored a real-time GPS tracking app on her tablet, watching the digital blip representing the Pine Ridge Sanatorium blink steadily.
“Mr. Thomas, we have a problem; satellite telemetry shows increased vehicle movement leaving the sanatorium grounds right now,” Clara warned.
