“Boss, we have an uninvited delegation waiting at the outer gates demanding immediate entry under executive dispute rules,” his chief enforcer reported.
“Who is it?” Dante asked, his voice dripping with cold, lethal indifference as he loaded a fresh clip into his sidearm.
“It’s Senator Henderson accompanied by federal prosecutor Marcus Vance and three corporate liquidation trustees,” the enforcer replied.
“Open the front gates and let them walk right into the courtyard; let’s see what kind of game they want to play,” Dante ordered calmly.
Ten minutes later, the sleek black town cars rolled up the gravel driveway, parking neatly in front of the grand mansion steps.
Senator Henderson stepped out first, adjusting his expensive silk tie with an arrogant smirk plastered across his aging face.

Dante stepped out onto the front porch, standing tall and motionless like an executioner waiting for his victims to approach the block.
