Chapter 4 - Enforcers Escort The Disgraced Bride Out Forever

Dante snapped his fingers once, a sharp, crisp sound that echoed like a gunshot through the vaulted marble-pillared hallway.
Two massive armed enforcers flanked Vanessa instantly, their heavy leather gloves gripping her designer coat with ruthless efficiency.
“You’re dragging me out like a common criminal? My father’s corporate syndicate will declare war on the Albasini family!” Vanessa screamed.
“Your father’s syndicate was bought out by my portfolio three years ago, and he wouldn't piss on you if you were on fire,” Dante mocked coldly.
The enforcers hoisted her off her feet, dragging her kicking and screaming across the polished stone toward the massive wrought-iron double doors.
Her spilled clothes, photographs, and inventory lists remained scattered across the expensive Persian rug like confetti at a ruined funeral.
Dante ignored her frantic shrieks, turning his full attention back toward his trembling daughter standing near the base of the grand staircase.
He dropped to one knee, lowering his towering frame to eye level so he wouldn't frighten the fragile little girl any further.

“Chloe, look at me, sweetheart; you never have to wear that chain or fear that woman ever again,” Dante promised softly.
Little Chloe wrapped her tiny arms tightly around her father’s neck, burying her face in his shoulder and sobbing with pure relief.
