Chapter 7 - The Attorney Delivers A Sealed Safe Deposit Envelope
Before the police could push past the security detail, Nathan’s veteran corporate attorney, Marcus Vance, stepped out of the study.
“Hold your positions, Inspector; these warrants lack federal magistrate signatures and violate interstate jurisdiction rules,” Marcus stated smoothly.
The inspector hesitated, glaring at the high-priced lawyer who held immense influence across the entire eastern seaboard.
Marcus walked past the officers and handed a heavy manila envelope directly into Nathan’s waiting hands.
“Your late father instructed me to hand this to you only if an emergency involving Grace and Lily ever materialized,” Marcus murmured.
