Chapter 11 - Nathan Defies The Authorities To Protect His Family

Nathan walked down the front stone steps into the pouring rain, raising his hands slightly to signal absolute non-resistance.
“Where is the federal magistrate’s signature on that kidnapping warrant, Agent Miller?” Nathan demanded calmly.
“Mr. Cole, you are interfering with a multi-agency federal investigation involving interstate flight and child abduction,” the agent warned.
“There is no abduction; Grace Miller is the biological mother, and I am the biological father of that child,” Nathan stated clearly.
“We have sworn affidavits from Victoria Caldwell stating the child was stolen from her rightful custody,” the agent countered.
“Victoria Caldwell was never a legal guardian, and her affidavit is based on forged documents supplied by my late father,” Nathan countered.
