Chapter 3 - Victoria’s Desperate Excuses Crumble Under Cold Silence

Victoria stepped back, her spotless white designer dress brushing against the stainless-steel counter as her color completely vanished.

“Nathan, don’t listen to this pathological liar; she’s a mere servant trying to extort our family fortune!” Victoria shrieked hysterically.

Nathan did not even look at his fiancée, his entire focus riveted on the child who carried his exact facial features.

“Quiet, Victoria,” Nathan said, his voice dropping into a register so cold and dangerous that it made the kitchen staff hold their breath.

“You can’t throw me away for a hired maid and a bastard child! We’re getting married in two weeks!” Victoria screamed in sheer panic.

“The wedding was canceled the moment you raised a weapon against a defenseless mother and a four-year-old child,” Nathan stated flatly.

Victoria’s manicured hands clawed at the air in disbelief, realizing her fifty-million-dollar merger and high-society standing had just evaporated.
