Chapter 10 - Mark Denies All Charges Inside The Precinct Interrogation Room
Inside the harsh, windowless interrogation room at the county precinct, Mark sat handcuffed to a stainless steel bolt.
Detective Miller slid the preliminary police report across the metal table, watching the suspect’s nervous expressions.
“You’re looking at felony domestic assault, battery, and resisting arrest, Mr. Sterling,” Miller stated plainly.
“This is an outrageous misunderstanding orchestrated by a bitter wife trying to secure a larger divorce payout!” Mark shouted.
“We have high-definition video footage capturing every second of the assault from the ceiling camera,” Miller reminded him calmly.
Mark sneered, shaking his head. “That footage was illegally obtained without my explicit administrator consent as head of the estate!”

“Your wife owns fifty-one percent of the estate trust deeds, Mr. Sterling; she authorized the cloud retrieval legally,” Miller countered.
Mark’s confident facade finally cracked, his mouth hanging open as he realized his legal defenses were disappearing.
