Armed with certified court documents and power of attorney renewals, Claire walked into the glass-walled corporate boardroom.
The remaining executives stood up immediately as she entered the room, treating her with newfound respect and deference.
“Good morning, everyone; as of today, I am assuming full executive chairmanship of the board,” Claire announced clearly.
“Welcome back, Ms. Sterling; we have prepared all the emergency asset restructuring files for your immediate review,” the CEO stated.
Claire opened her leather briefcase, placing the legal documents on the polished mahogany table without hesitation.
