Chapter 11 - Claire Secures Emergency Restraining Orders Against The Family
Back at the estate, Claire completed her formal witness deposition alongside Officer Vance before midnight.
She signed the emergency restraining order petitions prohibiting Mark and Evelyn from coming within five hundred feet of her.
“The judge already signed the emergency orders electronically; they are legally binding as of right now,” Vance confirmed.
“Thank you, officer; your department handled this professional crisis with incredible speed and fairness,” Claire expressed sincerely.
Once the deputies departed, Claire walked upstairs to her master suite, packing a few essential overnight bags for herself and Lily.
She had no intention of spending another single night under the roof of a house tainted by abuse and deceit.
