Chapter 2 - Damian Locks Down The Estate Dining Room Entirely

The heavy oak doors of the Long Island dining room slammed shut with a definitive, chilling thud.

Damian Vance stood at the head of the mahogany table, his cold gaze fixed entirely on his trembling fiancée.

“Nobody leaves this room,” Damian commanded, his voice echoing across the vaulted stone ceiling with absolute authority.

Thirty-two elite guests froze in terror, paralyzed by the sudden shift from a celebratory engagement dinner to a criminal interrogation.

Vivienne gripped the edge of the table, her knuckles turning white as she tried to force a confident expression.

“Damian, this is absolute madness,” Vivienne stammered, her voice cracking slightly under the intense weight of his stare.

“Quiet, Vivienne,” Damian ordered, stepping away from his seat and walking slowly toward where she stood.

The rain battered the large glass windowpanes outside, matching the dark, turbulent storm brewing inside the grand room.

Marco, the head of estate security, positioned himself squarely in front of the double doors, locking them from the inside.

“Check every phone; nobody transmits a single word about what just happened in this house tonight,” Damian instructed Marco.
