Inside a private dining club in Manhattan, Vanessa met with Arthur Sterling’s disgraced former protégé, Marcus Vance.
“Vincent Moretti thinks he’s untouchable, but I have the internal audit records from nineteen-ninety-five,” Marcus whispered across the table.
“What do those records prove?” Vanessa asked eagerly, leaning forward over her martini glass.
“They prove the original Moretti trust deed was funded through questionable shell corporations in Zurich,” Marcus smiled wickedly.
“If we leak this to the federal securities commission, his entire development empire will face immediate asset freezing,” he explained.

“With pleasure, Ms. Caldwell; corporate revenge is a dish best served freezing cold,” Marcus toasted softly.
