Chapter 8 - Luciano Stands Firm Against The Romano Family Threats
Before Chloe could answer, the heavy double doors of the east study swung open with a slow, ominous creak.
Luciano stepped out into the hallway, his dark gaze cutting through the tense atmosphere like a razor-sharp blade.
“Celeste,” Luciano’s voice was dangerously low, carrying a chill that froze everyone in the entrance hall.
“Luciano... I had to come see for myself if rumors of your sudden domestic descent were actually true,” she purred falsely.
“You are trespassing on private Costa property without an invitation or prior authorization from the head of this house,” he stated.
Celeste’s confident smile faltered as she saw the absolute lack of warmth in the mafia boss’s unyielding eyes.
“We had an unspoken understanding between our families for years, and you throw it away for a maid?” she demanded shrilly.

“My private affairs are none of the Romano family's concern, and my wife’s presence in this home is absolute,” Luciano warned.
He stepped directly between Celeste and Chloe, placing a protective, possessive hand at the small of Chloe’s back.
