Chapter 14 - The Costa Estate Faces An Imminent Armed Siege
By midnight, federal tactical vehicles and unmarked black SUVs surrounded the perimeter of the Costa estate.
Armed agents in tactical gear took up sniper positions along the perimeter stone walls, flashing bright searchlights.
Mr. Hart stood calmly in the main foyer as federal warrants were slapped against the heavy oak entrance doors.
“Federal Bureau of Investigation! Open the doors under authority of federal search warrants!” a bullhorn blared outside.
Luciano and Chloe’s town car pulled through the rear service gates just as the tactical teams prepared to breach.
“Stay inside the vehicle, Chloe,” Luciano commanded, stepping out into the cold night air without hesitation.
