Chapter 12 - Paparazzi Ambush The Couple Outside Manhattan Restaurant

Camera shutters clicked furiously as Luciano gently shielded Chloe from the blinding wall of artificial light.
Reporters shouted overlapping questions about their sudden wedding, corporate assets, and mafia family alliances.
“Mrs. Costa, is it true your marriage was arranged to settle territorial disputes in Boston Harbor?” a journalist yelled.
Luciano ignored the shouting, keeping his hand securely at her waist as they walked past the velvet rope entrance.
Inside the opulent dining room, murmurs erupted among the high-society patrons dining near the central fountain.
The maitre d’ rushed forward with trembling hands, bowing respectfully before seating them at the premier corner table.
“Welcome to Le Petit Chateaux, Mr. and Mrs. Costa; champagne on the house tonight,” the manager offered nervously.
